Of Forests and Flowers: A Romantic Daytime Look

IMG_4090

I can a be a dreamer, a hopeless romantic at times and this may sound a bit too enthusiastic but I’m already thinking about Valentine’s Day. Getting into the season of romance, I wanted to create a delicate daytime look using soft corals and pinks. The completed look reminds me of forest fairies in spring and this will surely take that special someone’s breath away!

This look was a product of a brainstorming session with my beloved bestie Adiba! I was feeling super uninspired lately and she hooked me up with some cool ideas! If you’re reading this: thanks bubs! Love you tons!

Without further ado, let’s jump right into the details!

EYES

The eyes are super simple to do! I used the LimeCrime Venus palette for the whole look. I previously did a dark grungy look with the same palette here . Goes to show how versatile this palette is even with only 8 eyeshadows.

~After priming my lid, I started off with Rebirth on a fluffy brush and swept it all over my upper crease and crease, concentrating most of the product on the outer end.

~Then I packed Shell on the lid with a wet flat lid brush

~Then with the same fluffy brush I blended out any edges

~Then with a dense crease brush (MAC 217), I blended in Venus with a circular motion on both the outer and inner corner

~Make sure it is blended really well with the other shades

~You can go back and add more of the lid color or the upper crease color if you like

~After everything’s blended out nicely and you are happy with what you have, add Aura to the browbone and inner tear duct

~On the bottom lashline, drag Aura on the inner third from the tear duct

~Add Shell on the outer 2/3 of the lash line and then take Venus with a more precise brush and smudge it really close to the lashline (outer 2/3 aswell)

~Curl your lashes, apply mascara to top and bottom lashes, and pop on some multilayered wispy eyelashes. I chose House of Lashes Pixie Luxe, I think these lashes are perfect for this look and really makes this look!

~Lastly make a very thin line with a gel or liquid liner on the top lash line to conceal the lash band

Voila! The eyes done! Super simple but extremely pretty 🙂

Among all the looks I’ve done for my blog, I think this has to be one of my favorites. I just love how this whole look came together and the best part is that it’s actually quite easy to do. Hope you bunnies love it as much as I do! XOXO

Cool Toned Smokey Eye – Grey

IMG_3923

Hello My Bunnies!

It’s been so long that I’ve done a post. It’s been hectic with the holiday season and work. On top of that, I’ve been feeling super uninspired lately but nonetheless I have a look for you today. It’s a pretty simple cool toned smokey eye with a peachy nude lip. I love using warms colors most of the time but there are times when I gravitate towards greys and taupes. I think they pair beautifully with a lot of different skin tones and you can match them with many different lip colors aswell.

EYES:

~After priming I used MakeupGeek (MUG) Creme Brule per usual on the outer crease with a fluffy brush

~Then with a denser crease brush (MAC 217) I used MAC Saddle on the crease blending with Creme Brule

~With a fluffy brush I gently blended Saddle on to the outer corner in a circular motion towards the crease

~Then I used MUG Slate and with a MAC 217 and blended it in a circular motion from the outer corner bringing it inwards and stopping 1/3 of the way

~Keep blending in harsh edges with a clean brush or with a teeny tiny bit of Saddle

~Then I took Lorac Gray and started applying from where I stopped with Slate (mainly on the middle lid)

~Blend Blend Blend!

~Then for the inner one third I used MUG Rockstar which is a greyish silver with pearl pink duochrome

~For the tear duct I used Urban Decay Virgin and I also applied that to my brow bone

~Lastly I decided to deepen outer corner and crease so I first used Lorac Espresso which is a dark brown and then to deepen further I used MUG Corrupt (Black) and blended it on my outer corner very carefully so that I don’t muddle everything

~Again go with a little bit of Saddle and blend any harsh edges

~I lined my waterline with a black kohl pencil and then with a pencil brush I took a bit of Corrupt and Slate and smudged the bottom lash line

~I dragged a little bit of Virgin from the tear duct to the inner one third of the lower lash line

~I applied Mascara and Falsies – Ardel Demi 120
