Dramatic Berry Gold Smokey Eye for a Desi Bridal Party

Heya My Lovelies!

Today’s post is all about a super dramatic smokey eye with berry tones and a beautiful duo chrome pigment from Inglot that shows up gold in one angle and a pink bronze at a different angle. My uber gorgeous¬†model is my beautiful bestie who was kind enough to lend me her face for the day ūüėõ ! I’m super happy with how the look came out and this look is perfect for a ‘desi’ bridal party or even for the bride herself! I don’t have a pictorial or step by step for this post but I’ll list all the product details and a diagram of the eye.

Aishwarya Rai Cannes 2015 Jazbaa Photocall Inspired Makeup Look

IMG_7426

Hi Dolls!

Aishwarya was fabulous at this year’s Cannes film festival! There were a few different looks to choose from but I asked you guys in Instagram and Facebook and looks like this one’s the winner! And I personally love this one more than the others. It’s a very simple eye using all matte brown shades. The star of the show is the deep red wine lips….stunning!

IMG_7452

EYES

I’ve got a step by step pictorial for you guys today and I’ll try to make a habit out of that! I understand it makes it easier for you lovelies to learn the look. The eyes are super easy to do for this look!

Processed with Moldiv

Processed with Moldiv

1.Prime your eyes using a tinted primer or concealer all over your lid.

2.Then with a crease brush apply a light matte ‘nudey’ brown shade all over the lid and up to the crease. I mixed MakeupGeek Creme Brule with Peach Smoothie to make it even lighter.

3.Then with a crease brush, intensify the crease using a warm caramel brown shade. I used MAC Saddle and I took it from the outer crease all over to the inner crease in a circular motion. Aishwarya seemed to have warmth on her inner crease.

4.This is an optional step. As I was looking through pictures I felt that there was a smokiness peeking through her eyeliner. This may just be an illusion but I still wanted to add that. So I took a kohl pencil and smudged it along the lash line. Used a pencil brush to further smudge it and take it a little up to the outer corner.

5.Then I took a darker more cool toned coffee brown ( MakeupGeek Mocha ) and mixed it with a little bit MAC Saddle and intensified the crease and outer corner using a circular motion. The eyeshadows in this look are applied in a more rounded shape as opposed to a cat eye winged out shape.

I also added MAC Brule which is matte cream shade on my brow bone and inner corner

6. I used Inglot gel liner in 77 to create a semi thick but short wing. I kept the thickness of the liner pretty uniform all throughout the lash line. On the waterline I used a brown kohl pencil. On the bottom lash line I added some MakeupGeek Creme Brule.

I curled my lashes, applied Mascara on top and bottom lashes and added Falsies (KOKO Lashes – Ariel)

Adriana Lima Met Gala 2015 Inspired Vampy Look

IMG_7144

Helllooo My Lovelies!

I know it’s a bit late but as promised here I am with a Adriana Lima Inspired Look from the Met Gala this year. I’ve been sick and then I was in Melbourne and I’m still feeling a bit under the weather but¬†things need to be done! I really enjoyed doing this look and even tried to do a faux bang but failed miserably LOL !

Oh she’s so stunning I can’t even! Obviously our shapes are different. You can barely see her eyelids from the photos but I looked through as many photos I could and got a general idea.

EYES

Just a side note: My only regret is I think the highlight looks a bit too silvery/greyish…It wasn’t like that face to face and when I was doing the makeup but maybe I’ll choose a different shade for the highlight if I had to do it again.

~Start off with a grey base all over the lid РMaybelline Color Tattoo in Tough as Taupe

~Go all over the lid with a grey color – Lorac Stone

~Take that grey to the crease and blend – I added Lorac Lilac with Lorac Stone

~ Then apply a light/white matte shade to the brow bone just to keep in check that you are not taking the grey too high up – Lorac Vanilla

~Add a smokey grey tone with a satin or shimmery finish on the lid – I mixed MAC Satin Taupe and Makeup Geek Moonstone

~Don’t forget to blend everything together at the crease with clean brush or with a little bit of the crease color

~Now comes the fun part with the black eyeshadow – firstly with kohl pencil make a wing starting halfway the lash line

~With a smudger brush, start smudging that wing liner until it has a blurred effect

~Then with a crease brush (MAC 217/ Zoeva 227/ Sigma E25) take some black eyeshadow РMakeup Geek Corrupt Рmake sure you dust it off so that there is no excess product Рand start going over that lining blending upward towards the outer crease and outer edge Рgo slowly and take as little product as possible at a time and build the black

~ Blend it with the lid and crease colors – you can go and add more of the greys if it helps you to blend

~Go with the black kohl pencil on the bottom lash line (NOT THE WATERLINE) and line halfway – leave a space on the inner third part

~With a pencil brush and black eyeshadow, smudge that liner and smoke it out

~Smoke it out farther down with a grey eyeshadow and a crease brush so there are no harsh lines

~On the inner corner, go with a shimmery champagne/pearl highlight – take it upward to the inner lid and on the inner third of the lower lash line

~Apply a little bit of that shimmery highlight shade on the brow bone as well

~Apply a nude or white eyeliner on the water line

~Curl your lashes, apply mascara on top and bottom and lashes and apply falsier! I used Social Eyes Vamp Lashes but to be honest I should’ve gone with the style Delight instead ūüė¶

Let Yourself Sparkle!

We¬†all feel lacklustre¬†at times, some a bit more than others (by some I mean ME :P). Life isn’t always unicorn and rainbows (if only!). It’s full of peaks and troughs (here I go with my economics)! But amidst all that monotony and madness, we need to keep calm and SPARKLE ON! Today’s post is dedicated to all the divas out there who never let anyone dull their sparkle!

Metallic Blue and Purple Smokey Eye

IMG_5390

Hey Hey My Bunnies!

Today I’m rocking this grungy smokey eye with this stunning metallic blue and purple duo-chrome eyeshadow on the lid….I’m head over heels for this eyeshadow…it’s from Colourpop Cosmetics and it’s called BAE! Totally appropriate¬†considering how I feel about it! And can I just say, these eyeshadows are incredible, they are like a hybrid between a cream and powder eyeshadow and they almost feel wet to the touch. My bestie gave me a bunch¬†of the eyeshadows as a birthday pressie and I can’t wait to get my hands on more! I’m also wearing one of their lippiestix on my lips today…keep reading to find out the name!

EYES

~After priming, I started with MakeUpGeek (MUG) Creme Brule (soft brown matte) on my upper crease and crease as a transition shade

~Then I applied MAC Hepcat (pinky purple) with a slight denser crease brush all around my crease from outer edge to inner corner – Hepcat is a discontinued shade but any pinky purple shade will do

~Then I applied MUG Bitten (burgundy matte) on my outer corner and inner corner pushing it towards the crease leaving a blank space on the middle, I applied more to darken until I was happy with it

~Make sure to blend blend blend

~On the middle of the lid I first applied a teal colored cream shadow (Maybelline Color Tattoo in Tenacious Teal). I applied a teal in order for the blue glitters on our main eyeshadow to stand out

~Then on top I applied Colourpop BAE. I used a wet brush to intensify the color even more.

~Then to darken the outer corner a little bit for more definition, I applied MUG Corrupt and Mocha together in a pointy crease brush and blended it out with Bitten

~On the browbone and inner corner I applied MAC Ricepaper

~I applied a teal eyeliner on my waterline

~On the bottom lashline, I applied Hepcat and Bitten and darkened the outer corner with Corrupt

~Applied mascara on top and bottom lashes and then applied falsies – House of Lashes Iconic

EYES

~After priming, I added Makeup Geek (MUG) Creme Brule (light matte brown) to my upper crease area with a fluffy brush

~Then I deepened the crease with MUG Cocoa Bear (warm reddish matte brown)

~Then I took Maybelline Improper Copper pigment and applied it all over the lid blending it with the crease color slightly

~Then  with a small precise brush I added Lorac Expresso (dark matte brown) on the outer corner and slighty on the inner corner and then with a crease brush I blended the color

~Then I used the Illamasqua Sealing Gel (you can just use a wet brush or MAC Fix +) and mixed it with NYX Roll on Shimmer in Chestnut and applied the pigment on the middle of the lid

~Blended any edges with the fluffy brush

~I lined my eyes with a gel liner but before it set, I took a angled brush and Lorac Espresso and smudged the eye liner

~If you need to reapply the Nyx pigment on the middle lid you can add this time

~Then I applied MAC Amberlights on the inner corner and Urban Decay Virgin on the brow bone

~I lined my waterline with a black pencil and applied the Nyx pigment on the bottom lash line and blended everything with MUG Cocoa Bear

~Applied Mascara and Falsies

Slate Smokey Eye with a pop of Pink Opal

pinkopalsmokey

Hey Hey My Bunnies!

Long time! I’m back in action with this smokey eye that I created using mostly the Lorac Pro Palette with the exception of two eye shadows. The highlight of this look (no pun intended I promise! ^_^) is the Pink Opal pigment by MAC, which is a shimmery white pigment which casts a pinky opalescent duo-chrome, hence the name! The only other eye shadow that I used is Make Up Geek Moondust which is a beautiful shimmery taupy silver¬†but to be honest this look can totally be done without it.

pinkopalsmokeydiagram

What to Do:

~ After priming eyes, apply Lorac Mauve in the crease with a fluffly crease brush

~Apply Lorac Pewter on the lid leaving the middle bit empty (you can apply pewter all over n skip next step)

~Apply MUG Moondust on the middle of the lid

~Apply Lorac Slate on the outer corner blending it up to the crease

~Apply Black with a pencil brush to the outer corner and blend it with the Slate color

~Blend the edges with a clean brush and add a little bit of Mauve if needed

~Dab Pink opal lightly in the centre on top of Moondust

~Apply Lorac White to the browbone and then apply Pink Opal at the highest point

~Apply Models Prefer eye pencil in Silver Lining on the water line and drag it slightly down to the lower lash line

~Smudge the liner with Lorac Slate

~Blend the lower lash line with Lorac Mauve using a fluffly crease brush

~Apply Pink Opal as a inner corner highlight and bring it down to 1/3 of the lower lash line

~Line your eyes with black gel liner and make a wing

~I decided to do a thick eyeliner with this look

~Apply mascara to both upper and lower lashes

~Add falsies for a more dramatic effect! These falsies I used are amazing…it’s an Asian brand that I picked up from Malaysia and they are sooo soft!
