Gold and Greens Makeup

IMG_0862

HI My Bunnies!

I’ve been stuck at home with a sore ankle and what better time to do a post than now! This is an absolutely gorgeous gold and greens eye makeup with a bronzed face! I used three different shades of green for an ombre effect even though it’s not too visible in the photos but in real life it’s stunning! This will look beautiful on brown, hazel and of course green eyes!

EYES

~After priming I started off with MakeupGeek Creme Brule on the crease and outer crease(soft warm brown matte) with a fluffy brush

~Then I went with MakeupGeek Cocoa Bear (rich warm brown matte) on the crease with a tapered crease brush

~Then with a flat shader brush I patted on MAC Amberlights (bronzed gold shimmer) on the middle of the lid …I used Fix + to wet the brush for intense color payoff (you can do this whole step last really depends on preference)

~Then I added MakeupGeek ShimmerMint (light minty green shimmer) on both sides of Amberlights and just went back and forth with both the colors until the edges blended nicely

~Then I did the same thing with MAC Humid (rich forest green shimmer) on both sides of ShimmerMint and blended the edges

~Then on both the outer and inner edges I went with MakeupGeek Envy (deep metallic green) and I used a pencil brush

~Make sure to blend it with Humid and keep a little space in the innermost corner for the highlight

~I went with MakeupGeek Cocoa Bear again to blend everything in the crease

~Used Mac AmberLights as a inner corner highlight and Mac Ricepaper for the brow bone highlight

~On the bottom, I did the exact reverse of what I did on the top starting with Envy in the middle, then Humid, then ShimmerMint and lastly AmberLights – blended all of the with Cocoa Bear

~Line the waterline and tightline with a black eyeliner

~Line your top lash line and make a wing

~Put mascara on your lashes and add falsies!

Pictorial: Moss Green Smokey Eye featuring Mac Club eyeshadow

macclublook

Mac’s Club eyeshadow is one of those intriguing eyeshadows out there that you just can’t pass on. It is such a unique color with a multichrome personality reflecting a reddish brown at one instance, a mossy green in another, and a teal in yet another instance. Used alone, the reddish brown shade will dominate but the teal flecks and green tint will still be present. Over a black base however, in my experience, the mossy green color becomes more dominant. And that’s what today’s look is all about. It’s a beautiful mossy green smokey eye that is great for a night out in the ‘club’ or a party! Scroll below for a pictorial!

– After using a primer, use a black base on your lid: I used a gel liner

– Blend the edges with a fluffy blending brush: Mac 217/Sigma E25

– Take Mac Club eyeshadow on a wet brush (or spritz it with Fix+) and dab it on top of the black base

– Blend the edges with Mac Sushi flower (coral) on a fluffy brush, take the color to the outer crease

– With a pencil brush, take a black eyeshadow and apply it on the outercorner and on the crease

– Blend it and smoke it out with a fluffy blending brush

-Mirror the steps on the lower lash line: Sushi flower at the bottom, Club closer to the waterline, and the black eyeshadow on the corner

-With a pencil brush, apply Mac Amber Lights (bronzy gold) on the tear duct

– Apply a black kohl liner on the waterline and slightly under

-Smudge the black liner with a pencil brush

-With a liquid or gel liner, draw a winged liner on the upper lashline

– Apply mascara and add falsies

– Apply Mac Ricepaper on the browbone (Shimmery nude with gold undertone)
