Haifa Wehbe Inspired Arabic Makeup

Inspiration Photo:

I’ve been wanting to do a Haifa Wehbe Inspired look for ages now. So when I bought this new headpiece from Lovisa with a blue droplet couple days back, I immediately thought of this photo of Haifa. For those of you who don’t know, Haifa Wehbe is a Lebanese singer and actress. She’s a glamour icon in the Arab World. All of her looks are gorgeous, but this particular one is so unique and goes really well with the headpiece!

The blue purple gradient is sooo beautiful! I added my own touch to it by changing the black eyeliner in the waterline to a royal blue one! I think the eyes pop even more with that and creates a beautiful gradient from blue to teal to purple!

EYES

~After priming my lids, I applied a gold cream eyeshadow as a base on the lid (Chanel Illusion D’Ombre in Apparence)

~On top of that cream eyeshadow, I applied Urban Decay Half Baked from the Naked palette on the lid up to the crease and also brought it all the way to my tear duct

~I blended out the edges with Urban Decay Buck (Naked Palette) with a fluffy crease brush and applied the color to the crease and outer crease, stopping just below the brow bone.

~I then applied Urban Decay Smog (Naked Palette) on the outer corner with a MAC 217 brush dragging it upwards towards the crease and dragging it outwards making a elongated v shape

~I applied MAC Ricepaper on the browbone as a highlight

~I lined my upper lashline with a gel liner and made a thick cat eye

~On the bottom lash line, I first applied Maybelline Color Tattoo in Painted Purple and on top of that I applied Iridescent Purple from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Palette

~I then took the Models Prefer Eyeliner in Teal Maybe and applied it just below the waterline, making sure that the teal does not completely hide the purple – the purple must peak through

~I applied Urban Decay Flipside to set the eyeliner and make the color more vibrant

~Then I lined the waterline with Model’s Prefer Eyeliner in Blue Lagoon. I have a mini review on these liner here

~Lastly I curled my lashes, put mascara on both top and bottom lashes and then added some falsies for more drama. I used the KOKO lashes in Ariel.

I couldn’t help but change up the lips to a brighter color. The eyes look stunning paired with the bright pink lips! I even tried to add a beauty spot like Haifa but realized later it was on the wrong side LOL !

Mini Review: Models Prefer Infinite Colour Eye Pencils

modelspreferpencil

Hello My Lovelies!

As promised, I’m back with a review of the Models Prefer Infinite Colour Eye Pencils. I used three of the colours on my last post so feel free to scroll down and check that out! And let me just say, I LOVE THESE PENCILS! Seriously, all this time I’ve walked right past the Models Prefer display at Priceline and never thought of giving this brand a chance! It’s Priceline’s own brand and I’m impressed! These liners are the boss. They retail for $8.99 but they are worth every penny. Easily comparable to higher end brands like Urban Decay. They are extremely pigmented, super smooth but still firm enough not to break on application. The best part is that they dry quickly and does not smudge at all! On my last look, I used one of them to make a winged liner and it stayed on all day and did NOT transfer to my lids! Throughout the day, the color didn’t stay as vibrant but that’s just a very minor concern. They are waterproof as they say and stay in the waterline pretty well too! The color selection is to die for aswell! They offer 12 beautiful shades and I bought 6 of them. Check out the swatches below!

From Left to Right:

Blue Lagoon: my favorite of the bunch! Such a rich shimmery royal blue shade! LOVE IT!

Teal Maybe: if you ask me, a teal eye pencil is a must in everyone’s collection. Teal looks amazing on the waterline or on the bottom lash line just to add that beautiful pop of color during spring and summer!

Lime Tart: love the name and love the color! I don’t own anything similar to this color so I had to have it!

Gold Star: beautiful gold shade, just amazing for the waterline or as a inner corner highlight!

Nude Appeal: the photo could not capture the true essence of this color. In reality, this is a softer champagne shade and again a staple for everyone! Perfect for the waterline!

Silver Lining: a really nice silvery charcoal, great for cool smokey eyes. I’ve actually used it on a look I posted a couple of days back.

*None of these shades are matte….they are all beautiful shimmery shades…I’m inclined to say most of the shades in the collection are shimmery except for maybe Brown Suede and Black Cat (which has tiny flecks of shimmers) but I may be totally wrong so don’t quote me on that ! LOL ^_^

Overall, I”m in love and I’ve never expected this brand to produce such great quality products. I’m definitely keen to try more stuff from Models Prefer. Kudos to Priceline for creating such a great line! I urge everyone who can get their hands on these eyeliners to try them out!

~XO XO~

EOTD: Neutral eyes with Royal Blue Winged Liner

HELLO MY BUNNIES!

Today’s look is all about bringing a fun twist to an everyday neutral eye. Pairing a colorful eyeliner with neutral eye shadows is a great way to wear color on your eyes without looking too over the top! This is something I do pretty often because I easily get bored of my neutrals :/ meh! I used the Models Prefer Infinite Colour Eye Pencil in Blue Lagoon for the brilliant blue winged eyeliner and Gold Star and Nude Appeal on the waterline. And let me just say, I LOVEEEE THESE EYE PENCILS! They are amazeballs ! Stay tuned for a review post! blue liner eotd diagram

WHAT TO DO:

~ After priming my eyes, I highlighted my browbone with Lorac Pro Palette White and Cream mixed together

~Then I applied the light brown shade from the Sleek Storm Palette (any light peachy toned brown i.e.  MUG creme brule or peach smoothie) all over my crease up to a my brow bone with a fluffy brush

~I applied Make Up Geek Cocoa Bear (no surprises there!) on my crease with a slightly denser crease brush (like MAC 217) bringing it down to the lower lash line

~Then with a smaller detailer brush (or pencil brush) I applied the dark brown shade from the Sleek Palette on my crease making a subtle cut crease

~Blended the edges with a little bit of MUG Cocoa Bear

~Applied Lorac White and Cream on the lid and MAC Ricepaper on the inner corner, blending the colors for a seamless transition

~Lined my eyes with the Model’s Prefer eye pencil in Blue Lagoon and made a wing (make sure it’s sharpened properly or you can use an eyeliner brush)

~Lined my waterline with MP eye pencil Nude Appeal and then topped that with MP Gold Star

~Applied loads of mascara and then falsies!!

Slate Smokey Eye with a pop of Pink Opal

pinkopalsmokey

Hey Hey My Bunnies!

Long time! I’m back in action with this smokey eye that I created using mostly the Lorac Pro Palette with the exception of two eye shadows. The highlight of this look (no pun intended I promise! ^_^) is the Pink Opal pigment by MAC, which is a shimmery white pigment which casts a pinky opalescent duo-chrome, hence the name! The only other eye shadow that I used is Make Up Geek Moondust which is a beautiful shimmery taupy silver but to be honest this look can totally be done without it.

pinkopalsmokeydiagram

What to Do:

~ After priming eyes, apply Lorac Mauve in the crease with a fluffly crease brush

~Apply Lorac Pewter on the lid leaving the middle bit empty (you can apply pewter all over n skip next step)

~Apply MUG Moondust on the middle of the lid

~Apply Lorac Slate on the outer corner blending it up to the crease

~Apply Black with a pencil brush to the outer corner and blend it with the Slate color

~Blend the edges with a clean brush and add a little bit of Mauve if needed

~Dab Pink opal lightly in the centre on top of Moondust

~Apply Lorac White to the browbone and then apply Pink Opal at the highest point

~Apply Models Prefer eye pencil in Silver Lining on the water line and drag it slightly down to the lower lash line

~Smudge the liner with Lorac Slate

~Blend the lower lash line with Lorac Mauve using a fluffly crease brush

~Apply Pink Opal as a inner corner highlight and bring it down to 1/3 of the lower lash line

~Line your eyes with black gel liner and make a wing

~I decided to do a thick eyeliner with this look

~Apply mascara to both upper and lower lashes

~Add falsies for a more dramatic effect! These falsies I used are amazing…it’s an Asian brand that I picked up from Malaysia and they are sooo soft!
